Udawalawe offers large herds moving through open grassland in conditions ideal for observation and photography. Crocodiles, water buffalo, raptors, and aquatic birds enrich every safari, while the adjacent Elephant Transit Home provides moving, up-close encounters with orphaned elephants being rehabilitated for release into the wild.
